We have scholarships available to study a PgD Leadership . The Scholarships  are  exclusively for overseas nurses recruited through ourselves for the NHS  via the GLP.    The next cohort starts in March and applications closes on the  21^st February 2020.  Scholarship places are limited , there are still some remaining .

The scholarship covers the full costs of the course  –  except for a £200  deposit which is payable ( to ensure level of intent to study from  the candidate )

The PgCert leadership  is a  University of South Wales  programme and  is studied over 6 months  via 3 modules ( in 6 week blocks )  all delivered on- line with expert Clinical Academics  .  The PgCert is more than a management programme , but not all  managers and the programme is designed to develop leaders in health care  and further develop your careers. The modules are as follows :-

•            Leadership in Healthcare

•            Developing Human and Organisational Potential in Healthcare

•            Quality, Clinical and Corporate Governance in Healthcare

Alongside our existing CBT training programmer Recruit2healthcare are introducing medication management and Numeracy skills development. This new programme will assist in both CBT preparation and for the OSCE. The training will also assist in making the adjustment to UK regulations on medication management and becoming a safe and competent practitioner.

 

Proposed change to IELTS requirement to be considered by NMC’s Council next week.
Under the proposal, nurses and midwives will be required to continue to achieve a minimum overall level of 7 in the IELTS test, but in future a level 6.5 in writing would be accepted alongside a level 7 in reading, listening and speaking.
The NMC has consulted widely with stakeholders and heard that despite being able to communicate to a high level in English, many nurses and midwives taking the IELTS test were just missing out on achieving a level 7.
